About Us

Uncover new depths of self and embrace the entirety of your being – light or dark alike – through the transformative adventure of shadow work with Shadow & Grace.

Sacha Steuns and Mai An Tran are your guides through this practice, unlocking the keys to a fulfilling and abundant life.

A life in which you can stand gracefully tall, with open arms for everything that comes your way.

Working together as mentor and mentee, Sacha coached Mai An through her own process of discovering the grace germinating in her personal shadows after a challenging second pregnancy.

Sacha and Mai An later created Shadow & Grace with the intention of guiding women to these new realms of possibility that are available to those who are willing to take the plunge.

What would your days look like if you could move away from perfectionism and overachieving and embody self-acceptance?

How would you feel if you truly embraced all parts of this life, however dark or blindingly light they may be?

Shadow Work involves embracing the parts of life or self that are often ignored, rejected or hidden. This often includes ‘negative’ traits, like arrogance, narcissism or manipulation, but it can also include the amazingly bright and light parts of life that are sometimes hard to acknowledge, such as your having unlimited potential, or the capacity for unconditional love.

The ultimate goal is to embrace all parts of your being, creating a fresh perspective in which even your most challenging traits can become strengths.

In personal development and spirituality the focus often lies on oneness. Mai An and Sacha believe that this oneness only exists by navigating the polarity within yourself and organically embodying the third perspective: being complete with incompletion.

Embark on this transformative journey with Shadow & Grace and discover the grace that unfolds when you step into your shadow – transforming yourself, your relationships and your life.

Sacha Steuns is a force to be reckoned with in the world of self-development.

As a life coach, business mentor and expert in shadow work, as well as a wife and mother, she dedicates her life to empowering individuals and organizations to unleash their true potential. Now, for the first time, she is bringing her expertise to the US audience, offering a unique opportunity to explore the transformative power of shadow work.

With a background as an operational manager in a result-oriented environment and with loads of experience in change management, Sacha brings a unique blend of perspectives and expertise to her work.

In 2010, driven by a longing for deeper meaning in her life, Sacha embarked on a new journey as an entrepreneur in transformational work.

This pursuit led her to a decade-long career as an ICF-accredited international Consciousness Coach and as a lead trainer, coach and retreat leader for Creative Consciousness International. She also spearheaded Conscious Cowboys, a consulting firm based in The Netherlands that specialized in activating the consciousness movement in corporations.

Deeply moved by the internal processes of people, supporting them in unveiling their often unseen potential through shadow work became the core of her work. After years of working with her mentor in international workshops and retreats, Sacha went her own way and developed her own methodology based on the teachings of renowned figures such as C.G Jung, Krishnamurti, Debbie Ford, Deepak Chopra, Ram Dass, Marianne Williamson and many others.

Sacha’s vision is a fusion of ancient wisdom, scientific research and relentless philosophical and spiritual seeking. She masterfully blends apparently incompatible views on life into a juicy cocktail that actually creates clarity, ownership and true radiance in one's life – most recently through her latest venture, Shadow & Grace, co-founded with Mai An.

Mai An’s life is a living testament to the transformative power of shadowwork.

After another chaotic period in her life following the birth of her second child, she embarked on a journey of self-discovery, guided by Sacha – her now co-founder in Shadow & Grace. Through years of one-on-one coaching, Mai An learned how to navigate both breathtaking beauty and unexplored ugliness – finding both rich with meaning and worthy of integration.

This revelation ignited her passion for shadow work, ultimately empowering her to support other women in embracing their authentic selves through the creation of Shadow & Grace.

Mai An’s entrepreneurial spirit, coupled with the fire she feels for helping others, has led her to burn her shadows for fuel not only in business, but also in family life. She is a loving wife and mother of two, with a third on the way. Her zest for life has led her to explore different corners of Europe, North America, and Asia with her husband. And as a black belt in Taekwon-do, she embodies the strength and discipline that underpin her commitment to uplifting others.

Through Shadow & Grace, the next chapter of Mai An’s mission unfolds, empowering women to embrace the fullness of their being and transforming their lives from the inside out.

Unwrapping Your Shadow: A Holiday Survival Guide

“[Sacha Steuns] gave me the freedom and safety to look at all the things about myself that I don't like in a calm, gentle and shameless way…. Through carefully constructed exercises and methods, I was able to create space to look at certain matters with a little more distance, to open them up, to refute them, or to learn to deal with them differently. I feel like I walked home with much more strength, direction, clarity, confidence and gentleness. As if I experienced a whole year of therapy in 4 days.”

— Tom B.

“I experience Sacha as someone who lives what she brings. She is sharp, supportive, loving and fearlessly willing to help you find where the space is – or the blockage: where you are putting yourself down. Not by drowning in guilt or victimhood or ‘the story,’ but with a loving and sharp invitation to get moving.”
